The Michigan Civil War Sesquicentennial History Partners has, as a special service to the Michigan Historical Commission’s Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission, developed a web page that lists all known Civil War Sesquicentennial Events taking place in Michigan as well as some significant National Sesquicentennial Events. Currently, 101 events are listed for 2012; however the list is growing daily (169 events were listed for 2011). The Michigan Civil War Sesquicentennial History Partners, of which this Department is part, is an organization of organizations, individuals and communities of Michigan interested in commemorating and promoting the Civil War Sesquicentennial and Michigan's role in that war. It works in conjunction with the Michigan Historical Commission’s Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission in the creation and maintaining the above mentioned website.
